If you want to take your audio home, then you need to do more than just hook up a speaker to a receiver. If you’re wondering how to connect speakers to TVs without receivers, read on.

A lot of people assume that using an AV receiver is the only way to play their music through a TV. In fact, this isn’t true at all. How to connect speakers to TVs without a receiver?

In order to do so, you’ll need to use a HDMI splitter. This is basically a device that splits the HDMI signal between two outputs. They’re very easy to use, and you can buy them on Amazon for under $10.

Once you have these splitter devices in hand, you’ll need to find some suitable speakers. These are the ones you’ll use to play your music through your TV. The most important thing to remember about these is that they need to be HDMI compatible.

Now plugging the splitter into the TV. To ensure everything works, test it before you turn it on.

Have you Ever Heard About Wireless Speaker Systems?

These systems are amazing for parties or outdoor events. You can connect the speakers wirelessly from anywhere and control them using a tablet or smartphone. However, they require a receiver to function. This is a big problem for a few reasons:

  1. They are quite expensive
  2. They don’t fit easily in small rooms (like kitchens and living rooms)
  3. You can’t use them outdoors. ‘

Steps To Connect Speakers To Tv Without Receivers:

A lot of people want to connect speakers to TVs, but don’t know how.

In this article, I’ll walk you through the steps to connect speakers to TVs using the same technology that most TVs use.

If you have a Smart TV, you can connect it to your speakers with an AV adapter. Most Smart TVs come with built-in WiFi, so all you need is a WiFi dongle.

Alternatively, you can use a HDMI splitter, but you will need an active receiver to convert audio signals from the speakers to the TV.

Let’s go over the options.

In this post, I will show you a simple and inexpensive way to connect your speakers to TVs without receivers.

STEP 1 - Find the Right AV Adapter:

AV adapters are devices that connect HDMI cables to TVs. They’re also called HDMI adapters, AV adapters, or HDMI splitters.

There are two types of adapters: passive adapters and active adapters.

A passive adapter does nothing more than split the audio and video streams from HDMI cables. It doesn’t convert the data at all.

An active adapter, on the other hand, converts the data from audio and video signals into a format that can be displayed on a TV.

The difference is significant.

Passive adapters require you to buy a separate receiver to convert audio signals from speakers to the TV. Active adapters, on the other hand, work just fine with an existing receiver.

The most popular active adapters on the market are called AV receivers.

STEP 2 - Buy an AV Receiver:

If you have an active TV, you’ll need an AV receiver to convert audio signals from speakers to the TV.

You can get an AV receiver from any number of online retailers, including Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Target.com.

They run anywhere from $20 to $100, depending on the features and brand you choose.

You can find out a lot about an AV receiver by reading reviews, but in the end, the most important thing is that you pick one that fits your needs.

STEP 3 - Set Up The Receiver:

To start, you need to get a receiver (or two). You can choose between HDMI, AV, RCA, or USB receivers. I suggest getting a HDMI receiver because they are the most versatile. You can use this receiver to connect your speakers to any device that has a HDMI port. You can also use it to connect your speakers to TVs, laptops, and gaming consoles.

STEP 4 - Set Up The Speakers:

For this project, you will need 4x 6 feet cables. The first cable should be connected to your speakers. The second cable should be connected to the receiver. The third cable should be connected to a TV or laptop/gaming console. The fourth cable should be connected to the first one.

STEP 5 - Connect Speakers to TV Without Receivers:

Start by plugging the first cable into your speakers. You should plug the second cable into the receiver. Now, plug the third cable into the receiver and the first cable. Then, plug the fourth cable into the third cable. That’s it! You are done.

If you don’t have an active receiver, you have to do a bit more work.

You can use a passive AV adapter to connect speakers to TVs. These adapters are much cheaper than active adapters, but the quality isn’t very good.

As a result, you won’t get any high definition output.

You can also use an HDMI splitter, which splits the audio and video signal from an HDMI cable.

These are similar to active adapters, but they can only split the signal. They can’t convert it.

If you’re going to use a splitter, you’ll need an active receiver to convert the audio signal from the speakers to the TV.
